Submitting an application for the Express Entry Stream is an expression of interest. The AINP does not guarantee that all complete applications received by the AINP will be assessed or that all Candidates who meet the Alberta Express Entry Stream criteria will be issued a nomination. Review the declaration in the application form and the online AINP Terms and Conditions for complete information. Submission of an AINP application or nomination by the AINP does not guarantee you will be issued a permanent resident visa.
Review the Alberta Express Entry Stream selection criteria at https://www.alberta.ca/ainp-selection-criteria.aspx#toc-2. It has important information on eligibility criteria and instructions on how to apply and the steps of the application, assessment and post-decision process.
Your AINP application must be postmarked within 30 days of receiving the AINP email requesting you submit an Alberta Express Entry application. It is important that you review the eligibility criteria on the AINP website, Document Checklist and Application Form as soon as possible. Candidates may only have one active application in process with the AINP. If you have been asked to submit an application under the Alberta Express Entry Stream, but already have an existing AINP application under another stream, you may submit your written request to withdraw your existing application with your Alberta Express Entry Stream application. Your written request must include your existing AINP file number.
The AINP has access to limited information on Express Entry Candidates during the NOI process. At the time an NOI letter is issued, the AINP does not have information on a Candidate’s past or current applications under other AINP streams. If you have already been issued a Nomination Certificate from the AINP through a different stream, you are not eligible to apply to the Express Entry Stream. Candidates are only eligible for one AINP Nomination Certificate.
